THE MONOLITH
307m of dark concrete against the Züriberg
The Monolith is a 307-meter mixed-use tower in Zurich's Kreis 4 district. The client brief demanded a building that would be immediately recognizable on the skyline — not through ornament, but through the absolute confidence of its material and massing. We responded with a singular shaft of dark pigmented concrete, its surface articulated only by shadow lines that shift with the Alpine light across the day.
