CONCRETE FORUM
Raw post-industrial exhibition hall, Mitte
The Concrete Forum occupies a former East German industrial shed in Berlin Mitte. Rather than erase the industrial character, we amplified it: stripping the structure to its steel frame, inserting a cast concrete gallery floor at +1.2m elevation (to address Berlin's high water table), and replacing the corrugated roof with a translucent polycarbonate skin that floods the interior with diffused northern light.
